BACKGROUND:
Joachim is Walter's former servant, a bitter soul touched by the vampires' curse. 'Made' by Walter years
previous, he grew to resent his Master and at some point in the castle's history, which is only vaguely known, he
rebelled. This unfortunately resulted in him becoming a prisoner in his own Lord's castle, with only the darkness
of his dungeon and the whispers of the wind in the Dark Palace to comfort him.
A talented vampire swordsman, he is armed with a host of swords that surround him, and lash out mercilessly
to attack at his call. His speed is more than useful to him, indeed it is integral to his survival. After all, he is a
light, almost fragile character, one that you must take some pains to protect.
Not much else is known; indeed, his entire mortal life is open to speculation. That's why I think he is such a compelling and
oft-used fan fiction subject.
